The Kraft Heinz Company is one of the leading food businesses in the world which produces countless iconic brands. In Elst it's manufacturing plant we produce a wise range of sauces such as Heinz Ketchup, Heinz Mayonnaise, HP sauces and Sandwich Spread. Did you know that more than 650 million bottles of Heinz Ketchup are sold every year? These are made in our factory in Elst! The factory in Elst is also Kraft Heinz's largest factory in Europe.
In Elst we have a great opportunity open as Lab Manager. The position falls within the Food Safety & Quality department and will be responsible for the Analytical, Microbiological and Organoleptic labs. The laboratories collect samples, take samples themselves, analyze them or have them analyzed, report the results and advise on them with a view to meeting specifications and improving results of KHC Elst. The lab manager has managerial and executive duties and works day shifts.
Beschrijving
In short, you will be responsible for;
Directing activities within the chemical/physical, organoleptic and microbiological laboratory.
Developing , maintaining and realizing risk-based analysis plans for raw materials, semi-finished products, finished products in the field of chemical/physical, organoleptic and microbiological parameters, including allergens in accordance with established guidelines and requirements
Taking immediate independent action and informs Production, Quality control manager and FSQ manager in case of deviations.
Releasing raw materials and products in SAP based on analysis results.
Ensuring maintenance and calibration of equipment (including the NIR)
Developing and maintaining procedures for the chemical/physical, organoleptic and microbiological laboratory against applicable standards.
Purchasing (process) within the FSQ department
Liaising with external laboratories and fellow KHC laboratories, including SLA, analysis agreements and shared research and developments including participation in ring tests
Conducting research on processes, measurement results between production and laboratory
Assisting with department validation by providing testing support.
Maintaining a safe working environment across the laboratories and retained sample area.
Performing trend analysis on key responsibilities to report to monthly review meetings.

Wat vragen wij
B.sc or M.sc in Food Technology, Microbiology or other lab related disciplines
At least 5 years of working experience in a lab in a food factory
At least 3 years of experience in a managerial role
Experience with Microsoft Office
Experience with SAP
Experience with Laboratory Information Management Systems
Fluent in Dutch and English
Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data
Problem solving skills
